Die historische Oberstadt (Modica Alta) schmiegt sich steil dem Hang entlang bergauf. Sie besteht aus einem Labyrinth aus Gassen und Treppen und wird von der ber\u00fchmten Kathedrale Duomo di San Giorgio gekr\u00f6nt.
