Die Anlage besteht aus einer Ober- und Unterburg mit insgesamt zehn massiven T\u00fcrmen, die durch bis zu dreissig Meter hohe Mauern verbunden sind. Aufgrund ihrer strategischen Bedeutung war sie \u00fcber Jahrhunderte Schauplatz heftiger K\u00e4mpfe zwischen Serben, Ungarn, Osmanen und \u00d6sterreichern.
