Juli 2024 \/ Irland \/ Achill Head auf Achill Island<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-small-font-size\">Heute fahren wir auf die Achill Island im Nordwesten Irlands. Mit einer Fl\u00e4che von 146 Quadratkilometern ist sie die gr\u00f6sste Insel abseits der Hauptinsel. Achill Island ist nur durch einen schmalen Meeresstreifen vom Festland (beziehungsweise von der Hauptinsel) getrennt und kann bequem \u00fcber eine Br\u00fccke erreicht werden. Wir treffen auf etliche herrliche Str\u00e4nde, wo tats\u00e4chlich zum Teil gebadet wird. Im S\u00fcdwesten der Insel unternehmen wir eine sch\u00f6ne Wanderung, die allerding mit teilweise happigen Aufstiegen garniert ist. Von den einzelnen Kuppen hat man einen pr\u00e4chtigen Blick auf die Klippen und zu\u00e4usserst auf die ins Meer abfallende Landspitze. Das Wandern auf dem federnden Moorboden ist ganz speziell, im steileren Gel\u00e4nde aber auch tricky. Wir geniessen eine super Nachmittag bei sch\u00f6nem Wetter, aber eher k\u00fchlen Temperaturen.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>27.
