Nahe der heutigen Stadt liegt die arch\u00e4ologische St\u00e4tte des antiken Korinth, die f\u00fcr ihren Apollontempel bekannt ist. Wir haben die Festung Akrokorinth besucht, die auf dem Hausberg von Korinth errichtet wurde und bis 575 Meter hoch hinauf reicht. Hauptattraktionen sind die weitl\u00e4ufige, aus drei Ebenen bestehende Festungsmauer, die Ruinen des Aphrodite-Tempels auf dem Gipfel, \u00dcberreste byzantinischer Kirchen, eine Moschee sowie der spektakul\u00e4re Panoramablick \u00fcber die Peloponnes.
